After a long absence

I'm back! Don't ask me what happened the last week and a half I have no idea. A mega heat wave hit the midwest for a week and I think I was just in survival mode. I've think we've made it through the worst of the summer and hopefully fall is just around the corner. That way you know I can actually spend time in my room, on my computer without sweating to death.

I don't have to much to update really. This last week has been pretty non-descript. My Dad's birthday is Friday so I've been preparing myself for that. Although it couldn't be on a worse week since my hormones are all out of whack and that probably isn't going to help. It's been three years since he's been gone and still, August 20th makes me so sad. Hopefully though I can surround myself with good friends and have a toast to my Dad and remember all the good times.

Oh, my one exciting piece of news....I got a blackberry! I finally decided to join the 21st century.

And music is my aeroplane..........Ohhhhhhhhhhh man I cannot tell you how happy I am that it is Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a crazy week although I did have a freaking awesome day yesterday. Just one of those days where everything was going great and other unexpected great things happened. Love days like that ya know? Anyway, I have been jonesing for a new tattoo like whoa. I've had some ideas in mind for a while but still not 100% sure. My ideas are:

Enso, better known as a Zen Circle (enso means circle in Japanese) Been wanting this one for about well over a year now. Placement is still my issue with it though. Any thoughts? I only have 1 small tattoo now so the possibilities are endless!

A Phoenix. Only cooler than that one. I need someone to draw one up for me. Hear that artist friends? Only don't worry I'll be cooler anyways because I'm lacking the tramp-stamp.

Both have some meaning to me, the zen circle because it'd be a constant reminder that intellectual reasoning is not all thats important and introspection and quiet meditation need to be a priority. The phoenix for it's known symbolic meaning of death and rebirth. A reminder that from the ashes springs new life.

Sorry to get all philosophical on you when talking about tattoos. So thoughts? Ideas? Do you hate them? Let me know.......

Sorry I want to be inspiring and witty...

But this midwest humidity and heat has totally zapped me of all ambition and strength. Seriously, it's 10pm and still 95 and humid...wtf? Come on fall where are you! Sigh, unfortunately it needs to cool down like 30 degrees before any of these are feasible. I may catch a lot of hate for this but whatevs: I hate summer. There I said it. Hate hate hate it. I want my sweaters and riding boots please. Ugh I'm turning into Grumpy McGrumpypants. Here's hoping tomorrow is nicer weather.
