Whew!

It's been a while. I haven't really had anything to blog about lately. Still rocking out to The Resistance. It never gets old, at least not for me. It might be getting old for D, but he has to suffer through it. The seasons are definitely changing as the air is getting cooler and crisp, which I welcome wholeheartedly. Fall is my favorite season, as I love the fashion and just the coziness of it all. Fireplaces, apple cider, houses smelling of cinnamon and clove. Not to mention the layering oh the layering! No more boring t-shirts and tank tops with mini skirts or jorts (jean shorts-I don't wear them but plenty of other people do) but now it can be oxfords with sweater vests or turtlenecks and puffy vests. And with real shoes! No more flip flops! Oh I can't wait for the cool weather to fully arrive. Until then I'll be waiting here anxiously. Enjoy a picture of my adorable puppy Dexter while you wait too.

MUSE

For those that don't know, my favorite band is Muse. These talented gorgeous boys hail from Teignmouth Devon, UK which may be why you haven't heard to much of them. They've been around since the late 90's with their first major album Showbiz being released in 1999 in the UK. Muse doesn't get to much play here in the US which is a damn shame as they are quite possibly the best band of this generation, however they will forever be remembered as the Twilight band.

Their new album The Resistance is up on their website muse.mu. Have a listen, check out their older stuff. It will blow your mind. The combination of classical, glam rock, electronica, industrial, and pop is phenomenal and ingenious. Matt Bellamy is an incredible songwriter, classical pianist, and guitarist. Paired with the talent of Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme, you get the awesomness that is simply Muse.

The bob haircut

For those that know me, the bob is my haircut. I've had it for years in various forms. Today while reading my favorite gossip website Jezebel, I stumbled upon a post about the bob haircut. To my astonishment, it was a link to an article about how the bob haircut is a fetish for some as it reminds men of prostitutes. In all my years of rocking this particular haircut I have never heard of such a thing but there it was all over the internet, The Bob Haircut Pages. Okay so this website is quite dated ( if you couldn't tell) but after some googling, I found a bob hair cut message board where women and men can discuss their love (or fetish) with the bob haircut. At first I wanted to run to my nearest salon and demand extensions ASAP! I don't want to spend the rest of my life wondering if that guy is staring at me and having fantasies about my haircut, or just plain old staring. However after the initial shock wore off, I've decided that this is after all my haircut and I've had it for years. Who cares if there is a subset of men and women out there who find my particular haircut erotic? And really, as Jezebel points out, what isn't a fetish anymore?

And now a few photos of my bob through the years.
