9 Mile Run Day!

So when I last left you, I was suffering from some shin splints DREADING my long run day this weekend. I ended up not running Thursday, Friday AND Saturday opting to strength train Thursday and Friday and kept on icing. Also? I invested in perhaps the greatest invention ever. Seriously

OMG!!!!! It's's incredible. It's amazing. My legs have never felt better. I have no idea why I waited so long to buy one. I combined this amazing yoga sequence for runners from Fitsugar with using the roller and have never felt better. So needless to say my 9 mile run went awesome today! 9.02 miles in 1:26:40.   1. Nice work! I love it when long runs go super well. It's good to have confidence building runs like that!

    I got a foam roller 3 years ago, I think, and it was the best investment (and so inexpensive). I love mine and use it so much. I also have a runner's stick as I can stretch more areas with that and it's easier to travel with it since it's pretty small/compact!
